Windcraft Loud is completing ten years of creativity, collaborations, musical encounters and new paths, and is celebrating this with Windcraft Back, a series of events that looks back to bring collaborations born out of the organisation’s journey and that of the Windcraft Music Fest back into the spotlight.
Federico Pascucci’s workshop focuses on the practice of Balkan music through ensemble playing. He will introduce songs from different regions and musical styles, inviting participants to discover and enjoy the richness and energy of Balkan music.
We will explore the relationship between European and Ottoman musical heritage, the meeting of maqam and contemporary harmony, the use of microtones across different styles, instrumental techniques, and the rich rhythmic traditions found throughout the Balkans.
The workshop is open to all wind players with at least a basic level of experience on their instrument.
